Planning approval has been granted for the refurbishment and remodelling of a dwelling at Osmington Mills, with stunning views of the Isle of Portland and English Channel. We were instructed to update and reconfigure the internal and external appearance to suit the requirements of the family, allowing the house to engage more actively with the landscape and changing views with playful additions such as window seats and a large round picture window. A muted and simple palette of natural materials has been chosen to reference the tones and textures of the surrounding landscape and context whilst being robust and respectful of the exposed location.
