Kimberley Road
A Contemporary Replacement Dwelling with Coastal Views
This replacement dwelling on Kimberley Road reimagines a dated split-level bungalow into a refined two-storey family home that embraces its elevated position above Poole Harbour. Commissioned by a private client, the project is designed to meet the demands of a growing family, offering enhanced spatial flexibility and future-ready design.

The new home introduces a bold yet contextually sensitive addition to the existing street scene, with a restrained material palette of natural stone, timber infill and slim aluminium glazing frames. Its modern flat-roofed form maximises views and light while maintaining a low visual impact on the neighbours.
Internally, the layout is arranged to optimise privacy and functionality. The ground floor accommodates service areas, an open-plan living area and secondary living spaces, while the first floor provides generous bedrooms, a home office and a harbour-facing master suite. Now in the technical design stage, the project is set to begin construction in late 2025, with completion expected in 2026.
