Stewarts Learning Hub
An Inspirational Space for Growing Minds
Nestled within the innovative Agritech Glasshouse at Stewarts Nursery, the Stewarts Learning Hub is a flexible education space designed to inspire young people through hands-on learning in a live horticultural environment. Completed in 2024, the project reflects Stewarts’ long-standing commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and nurturing the next generation of gardeners.

The result is a modular insertion that sits comfortably within the rhythm of the larger structure. Expansive glazing opens the classrooms to views of planting beds and seasonal growth, creating a vivid, ever-changing backdrop to their learning. Flexible interior partitions allow the teaching spaces to adapt - functioning as individual classrooms or combining into a single lecture or event space.
Inspired by nature, the materials palette includes dark-stained timber cladding and jute flooring, chosen for their sustainability and tactile quality. Natural finishes and soft acoustics ensure the interior feels calm and welcoming for users of all ages. The project supports inclusive access and intuitive circulation, reinforcing its role as an open and welcoming space for school, college and community groups.
More than a building, the Stewarts Learning Hub is a place where architecture and horticulture meet — cultivating not just plants, but curiosity, creativity, and community.
