DMW Architects have obtained planning approval for the transformation of an Art Deco style property situated in the heart of Branksome Park, near Sandbanks, Dorset.
The original property, although styled in the popular Art Deco aesthetic, suffered from an inefficient design that necessitated artificial lighting throughout the day. Its layout was predominantly characterised by utilitarian and smaller cellular spaces, causing a pronounced disconnect from the prime south-facing garden and the beautiful woodland setting.
The extensive remodelling process started with a comprehensive analysis of the existing spaces, followed by a strategic reconfiguration to optimise light and space.
